The Focus program is a culmination of efforts provided by Indian Capital Technology Center and Connors State College to prepare students for success in the work environment.

What does FOCUS provide?

Career Exploration

Students are able to research and explore career possibilities and receive structured guidance prior to deciding what training they would like to pursue. Activities like program shadows and job shadows assist in narrowing interests.

Academic Skills

Students can improve their basic academic skills in writing, vocabulary, and math while progressing through the program core curriculum. This approach enables a fluid transition into their desired technical training component.

Technical Training

Numerous technical training programs are available with varied formats. These programs include full-time technical, short-term technical, and even a college certificate program. Please read further for an abbreviated listing.

Job Placement

Once a student completes their employment training component, staff will assist in the employment process. This will include help with resume writing, interview skills, job search, and even transportation if needed.
